Winter ~ a deep nourishing time of your life

Are you feeling the cool breeze of Winter?

I’m so excited for Winter this year as I am letting it be a time to honour my mind, body & soul to completely slow down and be much more inward.

Winter is meant to be a deeply nourishing time of your life. It’s here to nurture and restore you. A time of grounding, allowing your nervous system to calm after a few big seasons of growth and challenges.

It’s not as acceptable in society these days or even spoken about enough to actually honour what our bodies need and to honour the seasons. But it is so important!

Let me tell you a little story..

The past two years I have lived up in Northern NSW over winter where it tends to not get so cold, to me it felt like it was still Summer!

Because of this I was very outward, doing lots, being social, growing businesses, facilitating, going to events and travelling a lot.

It led to my own personal inner Winter at the end of both years in 2021 & 2022. I was burnt out, my body was tired and I had to slow down because I kept getting sick… over Summer!

Now, we are all different but I know this happened to me because I didn’t take time throughout the year to honour myself to have an inner Winter, and what better time to do this than the actual season of Winter! When it’s cold, easy to cosy up, have fires and rest lots!

So take this as your reminder that it’s okay to slow down, rest is productive and you deserve to honour your body and what it needs ♡


What’s something you’ve been wanting to do for so long but keep putting it off?

Maybe in this time of Winter you can pause on being so busy and do some of the things that light your heart and soul up! It could be as simple as taking time to read a book, bake more or get out into your garden like I have recently and absolutely loving it!!

I did a lot of garden maintenance last weekend and just this weekend I planted a heap of new veggies… stay tuned to see what grows!
