Coffee.

I thought it was a day for a little chat about coffee. If you’re like me, you may have a continuing challenge with your internal dialogue about how you feel about drinking coffee, maybe telling yourself you shouldn’t have as much or that you kind of know your body wants waaaaay less of it.

It’s such a normal thing to have a beautiful cup of coffee in the morning, sometimes it’s the main thing we look forward to in a day, I know a lot of the time I do!

But when was the last time you checked in on your body and stress levels? Coffee adds extra stress to our body, lately my body definitely did not need more stress and it’s been telling me!

Our bodies are amazing and if we take the time to slow down and listen to them, their intelligence of what we truly need is incredible. We have a powerful intuition within our beings also, this power is magical and sometimes we can get so in our head and out of our bodies we forget to tap into it…

I have been drinking decaf coffee for the past week and I feel so much better.

I’m more in my body, more present, I can actually think clearer, less anxious, more calm and trusting in myself and life.

I’m not saying everyone should make the switch from drinking a full caffeine cup of coffee to much much less, however I am sharing from my experience the past week of how amazing you can feel.

It’s so hard to even make a change like this, I have done it many times and defaulted back to a full cup of caffeine many times. But now I feel different, I’m choosing to honour what my body is asking of me in this season of life. And that is way less coffee.
